RPG Hiatus
Posted on 24 Jun 2008 by Sage

Starting next weekend, the RPG will go on a temporary two month semi-hiatus. It appears that a few of us (myself included) have some things we either need to sort out, or will be out of town during the summer break.
HOWEVER, the RPG WILL be open for characterization plots and general what-ifs, keeping it on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays starting at 10:00 p.m EST/9:00 p.m. central.
If anybody needs to ask me anything/wants me to change anything in regards to this hiatus, please either email me or IM me.
Have a nice break!
RPG to officially resume on August 15, 2008.
Internet Explorer 7
Posted on 03 Jun 2008 by Matt
If you're using Internet Explorer 7 you've probably noticed that this site doesn't display quite right. Our crack Web design team is working on this presently and should have it finished within the week. (Apparently most of you are Firefox users anyway and probably didn't even notice.)
EDIT 6-6-08: Fixed the problem, and also removed the redundant search as the Google one has been working better.
Older Logs
Posted on 17 May 2008 by Matt
A new section under
Logs has been added that features a collection of the RPG's pre-reset logs in the
Prior Continuity. These logs are not related to the current continuity but are accessible for reference. They're still being added as there's quite a few of them, so if any administrators want to start adding them the category to choose is "Previous Continuity Logs."
Update: 05-30-08 - All of the available logs have been added to this section.
Site Revamp
Posted on 17 Jan 2008 by Matt
The site now sports a different visual theme and the content has been better ogranized. If you used the RSS feature in the past you'll need to click on it again as it's been changed.
The site search is in the process of getting updated. Whichever custom search engine indexes the site first will be the winner.
All of the old features should still be intact, but if you find a problem make sure to let me know.
Also, there's a new feature that lets users determine when the RPGs start in their local timezone. You can find that
here.
Site Search Added
Posted on 23 Sep 2007 by Matt
After failing at implementing the CMS's own search feature, I decided to just use Google's custom search applet. It seems to work a lot better than what I had originally inteded to install (it is Google after all) so now the MBI RPG site can be (hopefully easily) searched.
It's located at the bottom of every page for now, until I decide to put it somewhere more true to the layout.
RSS Feed Added

Added an RSS feed that delivers all site-wide content updates. You can subscribe to the feed by clicking on the new "Subscribe" link.
All contents are fictitious
Posted on 30 May 2007 by Matt
There was an article in
digg today about the LiveJournal administration deleting users and groups within the LiveJournal community if they promote or otherwise exercise anything that the administration considers to be "illegal."
Many RPG groups' accounts have been dissolved because the administration has not taken into account the fictitious nature of posts.
This is a reminder to everyone that you should post somewhere (and prominently) in your live journals for your characters something similar to the following:
This is a character live journal for the MBI/SK RPG. All contents are fictitious.
Putting something like this in your character's profile should at minimum give you a little liability protection.
MBI/SK RPG Now Accepting Applications
Posted on 30 Mar 2007 by Sage
Welcome to the new and improved MBI/SK RPG website. Many, many thanks to
Matt and
Senator Server for the creation of and hosting the site!
The
application is now up and running as well as links to the characters' biographies and updated FAQ's. We are now accepting applications for the RPG. If you have any other questions, feel free to contact us.
MBI/RPG Web Site Up and Running

The site has been completed with a fully functioning content management system. MBI moderators can now add, edit and delete entries with the ease of a WYSIWYG editor. If you have not already received your username and password you can email me at mattfiske@gmail.com and I'll get you set up.
Also, if you feel the need to draw any attention to something you've created/updated, post an announcement under the "News/Updates" category and it will appear on the front page where this message is.
